World Polio Day

Event Details

  • Date:

On October 24, Rotarians around the world come together to recognize World Polio Day — a day that reminds us of what is possible when people unite behind a common purpose.

For decades, Rotary has been at the forefront of the global effort to eradicate polio, and the Rotary Club of Hamilton is proud to have played our part in this historic mission.

Through the generosity of our members, fundraising efforts, awareness, advocacy, and continued support of PolioPlus, our Club has joined Rotarians everywhere in working toward a goal once thought impossible: a world where no child will ever again suffer from polio.

The progress has been extraordinary — but our work is not finished.

World Polio Day is more than a celebration of how far we have come. It is a reminder that we must remain committed until polio is gone for good. Every contribution, every conversation, and every Rotarian who continues to champion this cause brings us one step closer.

For more than a century, the Rotary Club of Hamilton has believed in the power of service to change lives. Our support for the eradication of polio is part of that proud legacy — locally engaged, globally connected, and determined to make a lasting impact.

This World Polio Day, we celebrate the progress. We honour the commitment. And we recommit ourselves to finishing the job.

Together, we can End Polio Now.
