The Rotary Summer Literacy Program is back for 2024! We are excited to announce that this year’s program will be held at Lincoln Alexander School from July 15 to July 26, 2024. The program runs Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Program Details:
- Location: Lincoln Alexander School, 50 Ravenbury Dr.
- Dates: July 15 – July 26, 2024
- Time: 9:00 am – 2:00 pm
- Transportation: Free shuttle bus service available from Cathy Wever and Pauline Johnson Schools.
- Bus Pick-Up: 8:15 am – 8:25 am
- Bus Drop-Off: 12:50 pm – 1:00 pm at Cathy Wever School

Program Highlights:
The Rotary Summer Literacy Program is designed for children currently in Kindergarten to Grade 5. Our program focuses on literacy by engaging participants in various reading and writing activities. Additionally, children will enjoy various day camp activities, ensuring a fun and educational experience.

- 9:10 am: Community Sing-A-Long
- 9:15 am: Read-Aloud
- 9:30 am: Community Sharing
- 9:40 am: Wake Up Workout
- 9:50 am: Reflect Relate Retell Activity
- 10:20 am: Community Celebration
- 10:30 am: Recess
- 10:45 am: Independent Reading
- 11:10 am: Writing Challenge
- 11:45 am: Lunch
- 12:10 pm: Choose Your Own Adventure Recess Activities
- 12:30 pm: Action Sing-Along
- 12:40 pm: Program Options (Sports and Games, Music, Dance)
- 1:30 pm: Community Challenge
- 1:45 pm: Closing Read-Aloud
- 2:00 pm: Dismissal
Program Options:
- Sports and Games: Enjoy floorball, basketball, soccer, and classic camp games.
- Music: Become a guitar hero, vocal legend, or instrumental phenomenon.
- Dance: Explore hip-hop, ballet, and more with our dynamic dance ensemble.
