After 14 weeks of anticipation, we have a winner.
This past Saturday, Hamilton officially caught the Ace of Spades in our inaugural Catch the Ace fundraiser, and we’re thrilled to congratulate our grand prize winner.
Congratulations to Roy Leslie!
Roy chose Envelope #11 and pulled the Ace of Spades, winning the progressive jackpot of $7,578. Roy didn’t just win, he ended the suspense for all of Hamilton and helped raise critical funds for children in our community.

The Partnership That Started Over Coffee
What began as a morning coffee conversation between three of Hamilton’s most iconic service clubs has transformed into a community-powered fundraiser with one clear goal: helping children and families in need.
Catch the Ace, also known as Chase the Ace in other communities, is more than a growing jackpot and weekly prizes. It’s built on trust, transparency, and a shared commitment to supporting children right here in Hamilton.
Three Clubs. One Shared Mission.
This Catch the Ace initiative is proudly led by three of Hamilton’s most respected service organizations.
Rotary Club of Hamilton
Supporting children through programs like Operation Santa Claus, the Children’s Fund, and the Christmas Tree of Hope. The Rotary Club of Hamilton has served the community for generations, focusing on youth development, education, and family support.
Shriners Hamilton
Dedicated to children’s health and hospital care. The Shriners help kids receive specialized medical treatment, including support connected to McMaster Children’s Hospital and other pediatric health services.
Moose Lodge Hamilton
Proud supporters of families, food security, and local community programs. The Moose Lodge’s involvement supports Food for Kids Hamilton, helping ensure children have access to nutritious food when they need it most.
Together, these organizations ensure that 100% of funds raised through Catch the Ace stay local, supporting children and families across Hamilton.

About Catch the Ace / Chase the Ace
Catch the Ace is a progressive raffle-style fundraiser where participants purchase tickets for weekly prizes and a growing jackpot.
How Catch the Ace Works
- Participants purchase numbered tickets throughout the week
- One ticket is randomly drawn each week
- The winner receives 20% of that week’s ticket sales
- The winner selects an envelope from the remaining numbered envelopes
- If the Ace of Spades is revealed, the jackpot is won
- If not, the jackpot rolls over and grows
- The game continues until the Ace is caught
In Hamilton, 100% of proceeds support local children’s charities through our three partner organizations.
