Introducing Catch the Ace – Spring 2025 Edition: a new old game with a brand-new twist. You may already know Chase the Ace as the jackpot-style lottery where each week the prize grows until someone finally draws the elusive ace of spades. But what’s different this time? Three clubs… Three words: Collaboration. Community. Children.

A Triple Threat of Goodwill

This isn’t just another fundraiser. It’s a collaborative powerhouse brought to you by:

  • 🌀 The Rotary Club of Hamilton – the heart of Hamilton’s charitable work for children, now stewards of the Christmas Tree of Hope and Children’s Fund.
  • 🔥 Shriners Hamilton – heroes of health, dedicated to supporting children’s hospitals.
  • 🦌 Moose Lodge Hamilton – champions of local families and food banks, no strangers to a sold-out Chase the Ace themselves.

Each of these organizations has been raising funds for children’s charities in their own remarkable ways. But it wasn’t until a serendipitous breakfast meeting that the presidents of these clubs decided to combine forces. Over pancakes and possibility, the vision was born: Why not join together, go provincial, and multiply our impact — for the kids?

A Bigger Ace, A Brighter Future

Our goal is ambitious, but so is the potential:

  • Raise significant funds for Hamilton-based children’s programs and charities.
  • Launch across Ontario with a provincial licence, giving everyone from Windsor to Wawa the chance to play.
  • Make weekly draws interactive and online, so you can follow the action — and your ticket — wherever you are.
  • Create a progressive jackpot that grows until the Ace is caught. That means you could be the lucky one to take home a life-changing sum and help fund programs for kids in need.

This isn’t just fundraising — it’s a movement. And the best part? Every ticket supports programs that bring joy, meals, education, and warmth to children and families right here in Hamilton.
