Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus. He exists as certainly as love and generosity and devotion exist, and you know that they abound and give to your life its highest beauty and joy. Alas! how dreary would be the world if there were no Santa Claus! It would be as dreary as if there were no Virginias. There would be no childlike faith then, no poetry, no romance to make tolerable this existence.
Virginia, we saw this magic of Santa Clause happen at the 20th annual Rotary Children’s Christmas Celebration at Cathy Wever School. So many Rotarians, friends and family members volunteered to help make a magical day for over 725 children. There was music, dancing, singing, eating and yes even a few surprises!
Thank you to all who helped make this a special day! We couldn’t have done it without all the support, the virtual stocking donors, sponsors, volunteers and yes even a special visit from Santa Clause!
You filled tummies and put a smile on the faces of so many children this Christmas season. For one magical day over 725 children saw the generosity of our community!
