Today at Rotary it is our annual Past President’s Day! The Past Presidents’ Day is an opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate those who have led our Rotary Club.
For the past 104 years, the Rotary Club of Hamilton has brought together business & professional leaders together in order to provide humanitarian services, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and to advance goodwill & peace around the world.
Our Past Presidents have provided leadership and commitment to not only Rotary locally but also internationally. Past President’s Day is an opportunity to reflect on our history of our Rotary Club, the projects we have done, the good work and service to so many.
Our Past Presidents’ have demonstrated the Rotary motto of Service Above Self. As Rotarians, we strive to do this each day, and as we look to the future of our Rotary Club, we must respect and remember the history, if we are to continue to move forward.
Being President of a Rotary Club is often a role without many perks, it is a volunteer role, leading other volunteer leaders in our community. Past President’s Day allows us to acknowledge our past but also a chance to thank our current leader for there service to Rotary.
We have so many great leaders in Rotary, some whom took on the additional role as serving as President, and for one meeting each year we thank you for your time, energy and commitment to Rotary!
