A World Of Choice – Career Exploration Day

A World of Choice JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT – ABACUS PROGRAM

World of Choices is an interactive event that equips students in grades 6-8 with the skills and knowledge they need to be better prepared for the future. Youth will learn from inspirational speakers and participate in small groups discussions with passionate career mentors. The event includes a feature on skilled trades opportunities in construction, manufacturing and automotive. 

BY PARTICIPATING IN A WORLD OF CHOICES, STUDENTS WILL:

• Be empowered to succeed in designing a career path
• Recognize how transferable skills can enable career success
• Discover educational opportunities and training
• Be equipped with the skillset and mindset for the future of work
• Understand how to build a plan to acquire the skills, education and training needed for future work
• Explore potential career pathways including opportunities in skilled trades

A WORLD OF CHOICE 2024

Though the support of the Hamilton Community Foundations’ ABACUS Grant the World of Choice – Career Exploration Day will take place at McMaster Innovation Park on April 18th 2024.
