The World of Choices Career Exploration Day is a dynamic annual event hosted by the Rotary Club of Hamilton in collaboration with Junior Achievement of South Western Ontario (JASWO). This initiative is designed to inspire and empower students by providing them with direct access to professionals across various industries.

Held at McMaster Innovation Park (MIP) each spring, the event brings together over 300 grade 7 & 8  students from local schools, offering them a unique opportunity to explore career pathways, develop key skills, and engage with industry leaders. The program is supported by the Hamilton Community Foundation ABACUS Grant, reinforcing the commitment to enhancing educational and career opportunities for youth.

Event Highlights:

🔹 Career Mentorship Sessions – Students rotate through small-group discussions with professionals from different fields, gaining firsthand insights into various careers.
🔹 Workforce Readiness & Life Skills – Sessions focus on financial literacy, goal setting, entrepreneurship, and career planning.
🔹 Networking Opportunities – Students interact with professionals from diverse industries, helping them broaden their horizons and make informed career choices.
🔹 Interactive Panels & Workshops – Experts share their experiences, challenges, and advice on building successful careers.

The Rotary Club of Hamilton plays a pivotal role in organizing and sponsoring this event, ensuring students from grades 7 and 8 at schools like Cathy Wever School and St Ann’ Elementary School have access to career exploration opportunities.

By connecting youth with real-world professionals, the World of Choices Career Exploration Day fosters aspiration, confidence, and future success, empowering students to take charge of their educational and career journeys.
