Join us for a public conversation with 2011 Nobel Peace Laureate Leymah Gbowee – peace activist, social worker and women’s rights advocate. She is best known for leading a nonviolent movement that brought together Christian and Muslim women to play a pivotal role in ending Liberia’s devastating, fourteen-year civil war.

This event is hosted by Empowerment Squared and presented in partnership with McMaster University’s Peace Studies Program and the Centre for Peace Studies, and the Rotary Club of Hamilton,

This is a special Rotary Event “Peace & Progress in Liberia) at The Studio at Hamilton Place. Doors open at 1pm with presentation at 2pm.
