Junior Achievement (JA) has been a beacon of inspiration, guiding our youth towards a future of possibilities and achievements. Through hands-on experiences, mentorship, and practical knowledge, students have had the opportunity to explore the world of entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and work readiness.
In the classrooms of Hamilton, Junior Achievement has sparked the flames of innovation and ignited the spirit of resilience. The programs have not only equipped our young leaders with essential skills for the professional world but have also nurtured their dreams and aspirations. Through the guidance of dedicated mentors and the support of our community, these students have discovered the power within themselves to shape their destinies.
JA Hamilton was founded by Dofasco engineer David O. Davis and a Rotarian. DO Davis got a local group of business people (Rotarians) on a bus to London Ontario to see the JA program and together they introduced JA to Hamilton.
Junior Achievement is back in Hamilton, starting in 2021, the Rotary Club of Hamilton sponsored JA programs at Cathy Wever School. The small re-launch of JA programs continues to grow as we look to restart the JA Company Program in Hamilton!
Our speaker will be the CEO of JA South Western Ontario Karen Gallant and Heather J. Scott, Director, Philanthropy. We invite past JA Alumni to join us for the JA update!
Our Rotary @ Noon Meetings typically include a mix of networking, informative presentations, and updates on our ongoing projects. This is a great opportunity to connect with local professionals, community leaders, and like-minded individuals who are passionate about making a difference while enjoying lunch.
Join us for one of our Rotary @ Noon Meetings, invite a friend or colleague to participate in networking, community building and hear a dynamic speaker
