The Rotary Celebration Event last evening was a special night for Rotary. The 2018-19 Rotary Year was a huge success, new fundraiser, many new service projects, a new international project and we continued our signature projects making a difference in the lives of over 4,500 children & youth this Rotary year!
The Rotary Celebration gave us an opportunity to celebrate these successes as a Rotary Club! We also had the opportunity to thank President Nancy Baker for her year of service and to induct incoming President Heather Moroz. The long-standing tradition of passing the Rotary President’s Pin from President to President was completed.
We also had an opportunity to present the 2019 New Members Award to recipient Sue Richardson. The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Paul Harris Fellowship Awards. Congratulations to Empowerment Squared who receives the honour as an outstanding community organization. The internal recipient was a surprise for Joan Heels our 2019 Paul Harris Fellowship Award recipient.
