A New Home for Hope! Hamilton’s Christmas Tree of Hope Lights Up Hess Village in 2026!
A cherished Hamilton Christmas tradition is turning a new page, and the future is looking brighter than ever!
For 50 years, Hamilton’s Christmas Tree of Hope has been a symbol of generosity, compassion, and community spirit. Since 1976, this beloved tradition has brought Hamiltonians together to celebrate the magic of Christmas while raising much-needed funds and collecting toys to support children and families throughout our city.
This year, the Christmas Tree of Hope has a new home — Hess Village!
Following the Downtown Hamilton BIA’s decision not to continue its participation in the Christmas Tree of Hope tradition at Gore Park, the Rotary Club of Hamilton and its Children’s Fund were determined to ensure this important Hamilton tradition continued.
We are thrilled to announce an exciting new partnership with the Hess Village BIA, which has warmly welcomed the Christmas Tree of Hope as part of its 2026 holiday festivities.
Together with our community partners, including Charity of Hope and Corus Radio’s Y108 and Energy 95.3, we are bringing new energy, excitement, and opportunities to make a difference this Christmas.
Join Us November 20 — Let’s Light Up Hope!
Mark your calendars for Friday, November 20, 2026, as we officially light Hamilton’s Christmas Tree of Hope in Hess Village!
The celebration will be part of Hope for the Holidays, a festive community experience featuring the Christmas Tree of Hope lighting, a holiday market, entertainment, and opportunities for Hamiltonians to come together in the true spirit of giving.
But this celebration is about much more than twinkling lights and Christmas decorations.
It is about making sure that children across Hamilton experience the joy, wonder, and magic of Christmas. It is about helping families facing difficult circumstances, supporting local charities, and ensuring that the spirit of generosity shines throughout our community.
Through the Christmas Tree of Hope, Operation Santa Claus, and our community partnerships, we are working to make the holiday season brighter for more than 24,000 children across Hamilton.
A New Location. The Same Heart. An Even Brighter Hope.
