Get ready, Rotarians and Rotary Friends — December is going to be magical! The Rotary Club of Hamilton has a month packed with service, spirit, and smiles — and we need your helping hands!
✨ December 5th – Hamilton’s Holiday Tree Lighting at Gore Park
Join us downtown at Gore Park as we help light up Hamilton! We’ll be spreading Rotary cheer, manning the Rotary tent, and helping light the official Christmas Tree of Hope. Join us starting at 5pm till 8:00pm for all the festivities! No sign up, just stop by the Rotary Tent and spread the joy of the season!
🎁 December 6th – Blitz Day at Lime Ridge Mall -Operation Santa Claus Toy Drive
Operation Santa Claus is in full swing! We’ll be collecting new, unwrapped toys and donations for the Children’s Fund. Bring your Rotary spirit — and maybe a friend or two — as we share the joy of giving. Volunteers will be needed throughout the day to collect toys and donations with Y108 and Energy 95.5 radio station live at Limeridge Mall. Volunteers will be needed in 2-hour shifts from 9:00am – 3pm. 🎄 December 9th & 16th – Toy Distribution Days
It’s time to share the magic! Volunteers are needed to organize and help with the toy distribution to various local charities and community groups. Every toy delivered means another child’s Christmas is brighter! We need a few volunteers to help. Dec 9th (Noon -4pm) and Dec 16th (8:00am – 4pm). 🎅 December 10th – Packing & Wrapping Day
Grab the tape and ribbon — it’s our annual gift-packing day! We’ll be wrapping gifts and books for the students at Cathy Wever School. Laughter, teamwork, and a flurry of festive paper are guaranteed! A great evening of packing & wrapping! 🍽️ December 11th – Rotary Children’s Christmas Celebration
Our signature event! Over 650 children will enjoy a warm traditional turkey lunch, laughter, and holiday joy — thanks to you. We’ll need plenty of volunteers to serve, smile, and spread Christmas cheer. It’s truly a heartwarming day where Rotary’s motto — Service Above Self — shines the brightest. Volunteers needed from 10am -2pm to assist with serving the holiday feast and helping the children. 🎁 Toy Pickup Volunteers Needed!
We’re gearing up for Operation Santa Claus, and we need a few energetic elves on wheels! From December 1st to 20th, we’ll be collecting toy donations from locations all across the city — and we’re looking for volunteers to help with pickups.
