Yesterday’s Rotary Fall Golf Classic in support of the Rotary Children’s Fund was a tremendous success. From the first tee shot to the final bite of dinner, it was a day filled with great golf, great food, fellowship, generosity and, most importantly, a shared commitment to supporting children and youth across our community.
An event of this size simply does not happen without an extraordinary amount of work behind the scenes. A very special thank you to Paul Gordon, Chair of our Golf Committee, for his leadership and dedication in bringing the tournament together. We also extend our sincere appreciation to Heather, Alex Moroz and Shelley Mousseau for their hard work and commitment as members of our dedicated Golf Committee.
To our sponsors, golfers, volunteers, auction and draw donors, friends and fellow Rotarians — thank you! Every sponsorship, foursome, donated item, volunteer hour and helping hand contributed to making the day such an outstanding success.
We are still finalizing the numbers, but we already know that the tournament did extremely well in raising much-needed funds for the Rotary Children’s Fund. Those funds will help us continue supporting organizations, programs and initiatives that make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families throughout Hamilton.
Thank you as well to Southbrook Golf Club for helping us host such a memorable day.
And while the clubs may be getting put away after yesterday’s round, we’re already looking ahead!
