World Polio Day – October 24th

World Polio Day is a time for Rotary members, public health advocates, and all who want a world free from polio to come together, recognize our progress in the fight to end polio, and talk about the actions we need to take in order to end polio for good.

It was just 35 years ago that polio paralyzed 350k children annually. We can’t let the past become our present or future. We once promised children a healthy, polio-free future…and we’re almost there – 99.9% to be exact. But we can’t stop now. Today, October 24th, our Rotary Club will be conducting a social media campaign to inform, educate and support the fight to end polio!

On World Polio Day we encourage Rotarians to help End Polio

Here is how you can help:

  • Share/Like our social media messages
  • Create your own End Polio message on social media (we have a few examples below and have attached some graphics to this email that can be used )
  • Make a donation to End Polio Now at www.endpolio.org

We encourage every Rotarian to take a few minutes and learn about the fight to end Polio. Our Rotary Club has a strong history and has been very supportive of the campaign to end Polio.
