2023 ROTARY SUMMER LITERACY PROGRAM
The Rotary Summer Literacy Program is a free program that focuses on literacy providing participants with an engaging model of shared and guided independent reading and writing activities.
Children who attend the program maintain and/or improve their literacy skills. The Rotary Summer Literacy Program is designed to engage, enrich, educate, and excite, creating a truly special learning experience for one and all.
The three-week summer camp-style program is offered to participants for free. Many of the children attending the camp are from at-risk or high-needs neighbourhoods. Too many barriers face them and their families each day, and the cost of attending summer camp is usually one of the biggest barriers.
Your support will help get a child to camp!
Through the “Send a kid to Camp Campaign” kids from all backgrounds and abilities can learn, play and have fun at our literacy day camp program. It doesn’t matter your postal code, your neighbourhood, every child can attend the Rotary Summer Literacy program at no cost!
A child’s brighter future begins with your gift. Help a child in our community.
