For nearly 30 years, the Rotary Children’s Christmas Celebration has been filling tummies and putting smiles on the faces of more than 650 inner-city children in Hamilton each year. What began at Robert Land School has grown into the Rotary Club of Hamilton’s largest hands-on service project, and it continues today thanks to the unwavering support of our community.

This year’s celebration was another powerful reminder of what happens when Hamilton comes together. Because of our sponsors, donors, volunteers, and Rotarians, hundreds of children enjoyed a traditional Christmas lunch, festive entertainment, a new book, warm mitts and a toque, and most importantly, a day filled with joy, dignity, and care.

To everyone who helped make this year’s celebration possible, thank you. Your generosity and hands-on service truly made the magic happen.

Filling Tummies and Lighting Up Smiles

The Rotary Children’s Christmas Celebration is more than a holiday meal. It’s a full day of laughter, music, friendship, and warmth for children from Hamilton’s inner-city schools. For many families, it’s a moment of relief and joy during a challenging time of year.

Each December, more than 650 children are welcomed into an experience designed to make them feel seen, valued, and celebrated. This impact is only possible because of community support.

Help Us Continue This Tradition

This event is 100% donation-funded. Every dollar raised goes directly toward covering the cost of food, gifts, books, entertainment, and delivering the day itself. There are no administrative fees taken from donations.

While this year’s celebration was a success, continued contributions are essential to help us pay down event costs and ensure we can continue this tradition next year and beyond.

Virtual Stockings: A Simple Way to Give

A Virtual Stocking donation of $25 helps provide a nutritious Christmas lunch, a new book, and a gift for children attending the celebration.

Virtual Stocking donors are recognized on our website and at the event, and a tax receipt is provided.
