Rotarians needed at Telling Tales for a 3-hour shift

  • Date:

Telling Tales need Bus Ambassadors to volunteer at the event.  The Bus Ambassador is a key volunteer role.  The Ambassadors travel on the buses from Rockton Fair Grounds (where everyone parks) to Westfield Heritage Village (5-minute trip).  You are the individual who gets to tell the families more about the festival and make them feel welcome on the way to Westfield.  On the way back from Westfield to Rockton, you are finding out what they enjoyed about the festival.   You have a script to follow and wands, planes and flipbooks to give out to those who elect to donate to the festival.

There is a volunteer guide that you will receive with many more details.  There is a bus ambassador captain who will help you get trained and comfortable with the role (though it is an easy role and ever so appreciated by the public).

The shifts are 9:00 am to 12:00 noon; 11:00 am. to 2:00 p.m. or 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.

As you will see, there is even an hour where the volunteer shifts overlap so you can mentor and model the role to the next set of volunteers.

We need many more bus ambassadors!  Can you please consider volunteering.  Just go to Telling Tales website (www.tellingtales.org) and click on volunteers and sign up for this role.  If electronic sign-up sheets are not your thing, send me an email or call me.  I will sign you up and tell you personally how much I appreciate your help!
