Hamilton Sign Illuminates for Polio

Event Details

The Rotary Club of Hamilton in partnership with the City of Hamilton will be lighting the iconic HAMILTON sign in front of City Hall on October 23rd, 2019 to recognize World Polio Day. The Hamilton sign will be illuminated in the red & yellow colours to recognize the eradication of Polio.

Please join us at 6:30pm on October 23rd 2019 in the forecourt of City Hall in front of the Hamilton Sign to capture a picture of Rotarians and friends gathering in front of the Hamilton sign illuminated for Polio.

“The opportunity to light up Hamilton for Polio is a great opportunity to showcase the importance of eradicating Polio and how together we can rid the world of Polio” said President Heather Moroz.

The opportunity to gather on October 23rd at 6:30pm to acknowledge the need for a Polio free world is an important step to educate and inform our community of the End Polio Campaign. As the sun rises on World Polio Day the Hamilton Sign will mark the start of a day to recognize the work of many and the need to continue the work to end Polio worldwide.
