After School Activities

Our participants get to experience all the fun COREKids has to offer through Science, Drama, Cooking, Music, Games, Crafts, Dance, and Special Activities. We’ve created a program that allows everyone to get involved, with no barriers as the program is FREE, thanks to our many donors and supporters.

Get ready for programs packed with excitement, discovery and adventure. Participants will explore exciting themes through hands-on projects and daily activities. From science and music, baking and cooking, arts and crafts to nature and outdoor adventures our programs inspire and nurture their creativity and imagination. We also have multiple activities that assist with homework, literacy and personal growth.

Each week offers a varied and unique programming. Some of the programs are offered throughout the year and then we also have special programs such as the Rotary Summer Literacy Camp during the summer, Falloween or Winterfest activities in the winter months. Don’t forget the Little Library Box that often has books, games and crafts for everyone to enjoy at home! Some of our programing is individual but most is group or team based helping to develop new skills in co-operation and communication, and enhance their self-esteem.

SPECIALTY PROGRAMS

In addition to our regular programming, there are many themed and special days planned. COREKids Programing provides Specialty Programs throughout the year. These awesome programs can be one-time programs or activities such as the Halloween or Easter Egg community activities or maybe specialty programs such as Junior Achievement Programing (financial literacy or entrepreneurship). We host community and family day activities and often lean programing days about Lego Builds, Dance Sensation and crafty creations.

LEADERSHIP-IN-ACTION -TRAINING

Our L.I.A. program is fully integrated into our program experience. We provide young leaders with an adventure filled opportunity to refine their leadership skills in a supportive setting. The LIA training takes place before the Rotary Summer Literacy Program, where the young leaders are able to practice their new and enhanced leadership skills as program leaders.
