Celebrate Community Spirit: Christmas Tree of Hope Lighting in Gore Park

The holiday season is upon us once again, bringing with it a time of joy, connection, and community spirit. This year’s annual Christmas Tree of Hope Lighting Ceremony at Gore Park continues to shine as one of Hamilton’s most beloved traditions. Made possible through the collaboration of the Downtown Hamilton BIA, the City of Hamilton, and the Rotary Club of Hamilton—in partnership with Operation Santa Claus and the Rotary Children’s Fund—this event is a true celebration of what makes our city special.

We invite families, friends, and neighbours to join us on Friday, December 5, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. for an unforgettable evening filled with holiday music, lights, and community cheer.

A Tradition Rooted in Community

For generations, the Gore Park Christmas Tree of Hope Lighting has marked the official start of the holiday season in Hamilton. This year, the Rotary Club of Hamilton proudly continues this legacy, carrying forward the tradition once led by Corus Entertainment, while adding new community-focused energy and purpose.

Through Rotary’s century-long commitment to service and compassion, the 2025 Tree of Hope Lighting not only celebrates the magic of the season but also reinforces our shared mission—bringing light, hope, and support to families and children in need across our city.

A Partnership for the Community

The event is made possible through the collaboration of our valued partners, including the Downtown Hamilton Business Improvement Area (BIA) and the City of Hamilton, who have joined forces to ensure a seamless and festive celebration. Additionally, Corus Entertainment’s Energy 95.3 and Y108 radio stations will be broadcasting live from the event, adding to the lively atmosphere with holiday tunes and engaging broadcasts. Their involvement underscores the importance of community spirit and highlights the Rotary Club’s commitment to keeping this tradition alive and vibrant.
