Celebrate Community Spirit: Christmas Tree of Hope Lighting in Gore Park

The holiday season is upon us, bringing with it a time of joy, community, and cherished traditions. This year’s annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at Gore Park is made possible through the dedicated efforts of the Downtown Hamilton BIA and the City of Hamilton, in partnership with the Rotary Club of Hamilton, Operation Santa Claus, and the Children’s Fund. We warmly invite families, friends, and community members of all ages to join us on Friday, December 6, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. for an unforgettable evening filled with holiday cheer and community spirit.

A Tradition Rooted in Community

The Gore Park Christmas Tree Lighting has been a cherished Hamilton tradition for generations, marking the beginning of the holiday season for countless residents. This year, the Rotary Club of Hamilton is honoured to carry forward this legacy from Corus Entertainment, infusing it with fresh energy and community-focused activities. With the Rotary’s longstanding dedication to service and community stewardship, the 2024 tree lighting event is set to celebrate the past while embracing a renewed sense of togetherness and giving.

A Partnership for the Community

The event is made possible through the collaboration of our valued partners, including the Downtown Hamilton Business Improvement Area (BIA) and the City of Hamilton, who have joined forces to ensure a seamless and festive celebration. Additionally, Corus Entertainment’s Energy 95.3 and Y108 radio stations will be broadcasting live from the event, adding to the lively atmosphere with holiday tunes and engaging broadcasts. Their involvement underscores the importance of community spirit and highlights the Rotary Club’s commitment to keeping this tradition alive and vibrant.
