ROTARY CHILDREN'S FUND

Welcome to the Rotary Club of Hamilton: New Stewards of the CHML Children’s Fund and Christmas Tree of Hope

In 2024, the Rotary Club of Hamilton proudly took on the stewardship of two of Hamilton’s most cherished community programs—the CHML Children’s Fund and the Christmas Tree of Hope. These initiatives, alongside Operation Santa Claus, have been at the heart of holiday giving in Hamilton since 1976, raising over $6 million to support children and families in need.

Continuing this legacy, the Rotary Club is thrilled to partner with Corus Entertainment to ensure that these beloved traditions carry on, raising essential funds for our local community. Rotary with Corus entertainment, co-chairs Adam Oldfield and Krista Taaffe have worked tirelessly to plan and launch this year’s Operation Santa Claus, the Christmas Tree of Hope, and Blitz Day, collecting toys and donations for inner-city children. With the support of Corus Entertainment and the generosity of the Hamilton community, we’re ensuring that the holiday spirit touches every child in need.

With a long history of community service, dating back to 1913, the Rotary Club of Hamilton is excited to continue this legacy, ensuring that these programs remain strong pillars of hope and generosity. Under the leadership of President-elect Adam Oldfield, who has deep ties to the CHML Christmas Tree of Hope, Rotary will build upon nearly 50 years of giving, bringing new energy and commitment to making a positive impact.

Rotary's mission has always been clear—focusing on children, supporting local charities, and giving back to the community. By partnering with local media and engaging the public, the Rotary Club will ensure that the annual Christmas Tree of Hope lighting ceremony, Operation Santa Claus toy drives, and fundraising efforts remain a vital part of Hamilton’s holiday spirit.

Join us in continuing this tradition of kindness and support for children in need. Together, we can make sure every child in Hamilton experiences the magic of the holiday season.
