| I just wanna be me! Animal welfare practices to ensure pet companions thrive have evolved over the last 20 years. The Hamilton Burlington SPCA is embracing best practice. Changes include supporting pet owners to be the pet parents they want to be; keeping pets healthy and safe in their loving homes; and modernizing our once “state of the art” shelter, only 22 years old. Rotary members will gain an appreciation of how the animal sector is professionalizing, the miracles that happen every day among homeless, neglected and abused animals, and how it takes a “village” to make a difference. |
